Premium Wear-Resistant Slurry Hose
DEVEL Wear-Resistant Slurry Hose is a specialized high-performance piping solution designed specifically for the hydraulic transport of highly abrasive solids.
Whether handling copper ore, iron tailings, coal slurry, cement sludge, or mineral concentrates, these hoses are engineered to outlast traditional steel pipes in the most severe wear areas of mining and industrial material handling systems.
Each hose features an ultra-thick natural rubber or synthetic polymer inner liner compounded for maximum abrasion resistance, reinforced by multiple plies of high-tensile textile cord embedded with high-strength helical steel wire that prevents kinking and resists collapse under full vacuum suction conditions.
The outer cover is formulated to withstand oils, chemicals, ozone exposure, and UV radiation — making this hose the ultimate choice for demanding mining tailings transport, dredging projects, and sand/gravel processing operations.
Key Features at a Glance
- Ultra-High Abrasion Resistant Inner Liner
Formulated with a proprietary blend of NR/SBR natural and synthetic rubber compounds specifically engineered to absorb impact energy from high-velocity slurries containing sharp rock particles. Premium grade lining delivers abrasion loss values as low as 60–150 mm³ in laboratory testing — far exceeding industry standard requirements. - Multi-Ply Textile Cord + Steel Wire Helix Reinforcement
Multiple layers of high-strength synthetic tire cord reinforcement are combined with precision-wound high-tensile spring steel wire helices that provide exceptional crush resistance and hoop strength while actively preventing kinking, twisting, and vacuum collapse during high-suction pumping operations. - Corrosion & Chemical Resistant Outer Cover
Engineered rubber compound outer jacket offers outstanding protection against petroleum-based oils, industrial chemicals, atmospheric ozone degradation, and prolonged UV solar radiation exposure common in open-pit mining and outdoor processing plant environments. - High Negative Pressure (Vacuum) Resistance
The integrated steel wire helix skeleton maintains full structural integrity under extreme negative pressure conditions encountered in long-distance slurry suction lines. Prevents ovalization and wall collapse even when operating near atmospheric-to-full-vacuum differentials. - Wide Pressure Rating Range (Up to 75 Bar)
Available in multiple working pressure classes from low-pressure gravity flow applications up to 75 Bar for high-pressure dense-phase slurry pumping systems. Standard options include 10 Bar, 20 Bar, 40 Bar, and 75 Bar ratings depending on bore size selection. - Comprehensive Bore Size Range (DN50 – DN1000 / 2″ – 40″)
Manufactured in a complete spectrum of inner diameters from 50mm (2-inch) up through 1000mm (40-inch) to match any pump output capacity and system volumetric flow requirement. Larger diameters available upon special request for mega-project installations. - Flexible End Connection Options
Standard end fitting configurations include full-face flanges, split flanges (for quick field assembly), or beaded ends for clamp-style couplings. Custom flange drilling patterns and material specifications (carbon steel, stainless steel) can be supplied to match existing site piping standards. - Controlled Bend Radius Design (6x – 10x ID)
Each hose size is engineered with a specified minimum bend radius between 6 and 10 times its internal diameter, allowing flexible routing around processing equipment and terrain obstacles without compromising internal reinforcement integrity or accelerating localized liner wear.
Advanced Structural Features
- Ultra-High Abrasion Inner Liner: Formulated with a proprietary blend of premium-grade NR/SBR natural and synthetic elastomers specifically engineered to absorb and dissipate kinetic impact energy from high-velocity slurries carrying sharp-edged rock fragments and mineral particulates. The thick-wall liner construction dramatically extends service life compared to standard rubber compounds.
- Structural Reinforcement System: Multiple plies of high-strength synthetic tire cord are precisely layered and bonded together, then overlaid with continuous high-tensile spring steel wire helically wound at optimized pitch intervals. This composite skeleton delivers maximum burst pressure containment while maintaining excellent fatigue resistance under cyclic pressure loading conditions.
- Corrosion-Resistant Outer Cover: The exterior rubber compound is specially engineered for long-term exposure resistance against petroleum-derived oils, industrial process chemicals, atmospheric ozone concentration buildup, and intense UV solar radiation commonly encountered in open-pit mining operations, surface processing plants, and outdoor slurry pipeline corridors.

Installation Guidelines for Slurry Hose Systems
- Bend Radius Compliance: Always ensure the installed bend radius meets or exceeds the minimum specification (6x–10x ID). Sharp bends concentrate internal wear at the outside radius and create premature failure points under high-velocity slurry flow conditions.
- Flange Alignment & Torque: Tighten all flange bolts evenly in a star pattern to the recommended torque value. Misaligned flanges cause uneven stress distribution on the hose end fitting and may lead to leakage or end separation under pressure cycling.
- Pre-Commissioning Flush: Before introducing abrasive slurry, flush the complete pipeline with clean water to remove any foreign debris, welding slag, or installation residues. Foreign objects trapped inside accelerate localized liner damage and can block downstream equipment.
